Coffee Talk

Purpose

The purpose of the NOAGE Coffee Talk volunteer position is to support NOAGE’s monthly coffee talk by working with the NOAGE lead volunteer board member.

Responsibilities

  1. Schedule of presenters or speakers in collaboration with NOAGE board member or Executive Director.
  2. Coordinate the delivery of refreshments.
  3. Room setup and cleanup that includes sign in sheet, NOAGE information, and chairs for participants.

Qualifications

NOAGE Membership and willingness to participate in events logistics work, planning and delivering quality coffee talks for our members.

Term/Length of Service

A one year commitment is recommended and reappointment is based on mutual agreement between volunteer and NOAGE.

Time Required

Up to 5 hours per month.

Training Required

NOAGE Orientation to understand the NOAGE mission, board and staff, as well as NOAGE’s programs and services.

Travel Required

Travel within the community.

Available Resources

NOAGE volunteers are eligible for reimbursable expenses upon prior approval of the board member partner and Executive Director. Cultural competency training is also available for volunteers who would like additional information and understanding about the LGBTQ community.
